Compelling question, especially the combination of still-elusive psychology with technology that allows us to "see" inside the mind. Earlier I re-tweeted an article about a "thought-reading" scanning machine that apparently captures images as they pass through your mind.
It seems as though dreams distort the way we perceive reality. As time goes on, some people can't distinguish what was a dream and what was a memory of something that actually happened. Pretty cool question, I definitely want to see what you find.
